Win! A full set of Kate Daniels novels by Mari Hannah

Having Lit Fest withdrawals? Not to worry…

It seems like only yesterday we were in Birmingham at the DIVA Literary Festival. What a weekend it was! One of our favourite sessions was In Conversation with Mari Hannah, hosted by our editor Carrie Lyell, in which Mari read from her book The Murder Wall and talked about the real-life inspiration behind Detective Chief Inspector Kate Daniels.

Mari proved so popular that we even ran out of copies of her books at our stall in the Festival Hub. But if you left disappointed, you’re in luck, as we’re giving one lucky reader the chance to win signed copies of the ongoing series of these critically acclaimed novels featuring lesbian DCI Kate Daniels, already in development with Stephen Fry’s production company, Sprout Pictures.

Mari’s debut The Murder Wall won the Polari first book prize, and this year Mari picked up the Crime Writers’ Association Dagger in the Library 2017 for her body of work, an incredible honour to receive so early in her career.

Mari says: “Kate is a risk-taker by nature, a hardworking, ambitious DCI. But with dreams come sacrifices. Hers are personal. And that’s not all. She’s hiding her true self. Her inner struggle is the defining feature of this series. It shows her at her worst and her best, demonstrating the passion, drive and intelligence rooted in her DNA, but at what cost?”

This is a crime series not to be missed!

To be in with a chance of winning, simply email your name, address and contact number to editorial@divamag.co.uk. The closing date for entries is Tuesday 21 November.

You can find Mari at marihannah.com or on Twitter @mariwriter.

Only reading DIVA online? You're missing out. For more news, reviews and commentary, check out the latest issue. It's pretty badass, if we do say so ourselves.
