Celeb wine guru Raul Diaz helps you choose your perfect plonk

The Sunday Brunch wine man launches wine delivery service (...just in time for Christmas)

Don’t know your Chablis from your Chardonnay? Fear not, because Channel 4’s celebrity wine guru Raul Diaz is on a mission to help. The Sunday Brunch regular has launched a new wine delivery service which he says will “help impress family and friends” with an expert selection of vino for every occasion.

Raul launched his wine delivery service – Savage Vines – this week.

Diaz says the service is for people who want great wine but who don’t necessarily have the time – or the inclination – to educate themselves in the more snobbish aspects of wine tasting.

“Learning about wine can often be seen as a bit of a posh pastime and people simply don’t have the time to do it,” said Diaz, “I want to take the hassle out of wine.”

“With my background in the industry, I will be delivering quality wines and people will know it is quality because they will taste it. There’s no point in talking about ‘notes of this’ and ‘notes of that’ because most people don’t take any notice.”

Savage Vines is all about helping the nation choose the perfect booze for every occasion and Raul is especially excited to help people in the run up to Christmas, telling DIVA: “Savage Vines will supply the perfect plonk to accompany everyone’s Christmas dinner!”

Who could argue with having your own wine expert choose your booze?
