🎭 Ed Fringe 2018: Ania And Riss Are Trying Their Hardest

This ballsy duo make their show seem effortless and are both very capable comedians despite their gender and young age... *winky face*

Splitting the bill with a very palatable 30 minutes each (referring to my own attention span, rather than their audience engagement skills) first up is Funny Women Regional Finalist, Ania Magliano

Sharing with us her family history, relationship trials and tribulations — and even a little bit of dirty talk — what kind of relationship does Ania have with frogs? Can she recommend the audience a vibrator?

Her's is a hilarious insight into the workings of a young, feminist mind.

Next up is Cambridge Footlight (that's Cambridge University Footlights Dramatic Club to us mere mortals) and "raging lesbian", Riss Obolensky

Being said raging lesbian is a fact that she’s known for a long time — ever since Avril Lavigne caught her eye when she was just eight years old, and she’s never looked back.

Although, now and then she does look back into the darkness (not the 00s, Brit rock band) but luckily she’s got her trusty therapist to keep her mental health in check — something a 900km walk across Spain couldn’t do.

When it comes to chatting up women Riss will show you how it's done, all the while pondering the ever-present question, can you objectify women without simultaneously adding to the patriarchal culture you’re trying to smash?

Both women deliver their comedy with a finesse usually seen after decades in the game. If nothing else, they'll have you pissing yourself with laughter, trust me

Ania and Riss are most definitely trying their best — and smashing it at that ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (The official Debs seal of approval. Barry!)

@aniaandriss can be found trying their hardest at 3pm daily from 4 - 25 of August 2018 at Tollbooth Market, Room 1, at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018. Grab your donation-based tickets at edfringe.com now.
