CONVERSATIONS FROM OUR DAYS

Conversations From Our Days hosts conversations for everyone. This self-identified, fortnightly exploration of identity is about documenting every person's narrative in a way that makes us all feel seen and heard.

"When I was receiving a lot of press and attention following the success of my previous podcast and blog, A Playful Day, I noticed that I didn’t see myself amongst my peers," explains Edinburgh-based host and creator of CFOD, Kate O'Sullivan.

"I was a queer creator and a single mum on benefits who was from a working class background. Once I realised representation was such a major challenge for people like me, I set about hosting conversations with others who felt the same.”

VERY LOOSE WOMEN

VLW's tagline is, "Private conversations made public" which sums it up perfectly. Presented by Leonore Schick, Florri Burton, and Soila Apparicio, the three are often joined by special guests including artists, musicians, academics, comedians, film-makers, journalists and pals of the presenters.

Though not strictly queer, we think you'll love 'em. Plus, these Very Loose Women share a studio with our very own Radio DIVA... Definitely one to tune into.

From dating to dildos, understanding your sexuality to starting a family, Slacks offers a unique and relatable female take on lez/bi and queer life in London.

Hosted by friends Darina, Matilde and Mallory, Slacks brings an international flavour – through a London filter – to LGBTQ+ issues; taking on a different topic in each episode including adventures in lesbian online dating, the gaydar conundrum and staying friends with exes. â€‹Saucy stuff.

RADIO DIVA

...oh, HELLO. Okay, so we're biased, and okay, so Radio DIVA isn't technically a podcast, but you can certainly treat it that way.

Going out live every Tuesday at 6.30pm, every episode of Radio DIVA is recorded and available to listen to right here. (See? Podcast! Kinda'...)

Hosted by lez/bi royalty Heather Peace (Lip Service) and comedian and writer Rosie Wilby, Radio DIVA is a platform created by and for lesbian, bisexual and queer women, featuring everyone from podcast pro Cameron Esposito, to Lea Delaria, to the radio's very own roving reporter Rachel Shelley, aka Helena Peabody of The L Word.

QUEER AS FACT

A queer history podcast covering content from around the world and throughout time, this Melbourne, Australia based poddo is for all you history buffs out there.

Examples of the kind of stuff they cover include Pope Joan, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Call Me By Your Name (see lovely GIF), The Color Purple, and "Moche Sex Pots" — aka the erotic pottery of the Moche people of Peru, 'course.

"Tune in for skeleton sex, dragging bad scholarship, and the possibility of a third gender in ancient Peru." Saucy stuff.

COMING OUT STORIES

A brand spankin' podcast from What Goes On Media and presented by Emma Goswell — who currently presents the drivetime show on Gaydio — Coming Out Stories brings you, "the stories of real people in their own words."

“I’m beyond excited about Coming Out Stories," Goswell said after launching the podcast recently. "Over the last few months, I’ve been privileged to hear some incredible stories that have sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions and I just can’t wait for other people to hear them.

"Gay or straight, young or old, I want everyone to enjoy Coming Out Stories. And who knows, it may even encourage people to have those important conversations in their own lives”.

WORD OF MOUTH

More of a one-off than an ongoing podcast, for this BBC Radio 4 series, CN Lester, author of Trans Like Me, is joined Michael Rosen and Dr Laura Wright to talk about language and gender identity.

Think: What does it mean to be transgender and how is language being used (by and about) people who identify as transgender, non-binary or genderqueer? Catch it while you can!
