If we don't all melt completely here in the UK... how about we tune in for another installment of our favourite, Tuesday-shaped lez/bi radio show? (We'll bring the iced coffees...)

This week, presenters Rosie Wilby and Heather Peace chat to Different For Girls creator, Jacqui Lawrence, and DFG actor and DIVA Magazine cover star, Denise Welch, ahead of the premiere of the second series in London this Friday. (Can we get a, WOOP, WOOP!)

In this month's Pride issue, Loose Women host and all-around lovely, Denise, told DIVA Magazine's Roxy Bourdillon how she feels about playing gay in the new DFG series:

"I loved it. Loved it! Listen, I'm such a friend of the gays, I might as well be a lesbian. A dykon, they call me.

"When they said, 'Would you play this LLL - later life lesbian - who realises she fancies Theresa May?' I was completely sold." Legend.

Fancy coming along to the premiere and hanging out with #DeniseTheDykon and the rest of the fabulous cast and crew?

Get your ticket here for the celeb-studded premiere in London this Friday 6 July and meet the cast in an exclusive post-screening Q&A!

The team will also be chatting about this weekend's DIVA Women’s Stage, which returns to the iconic Leicester Square, bringing some great acts on the stage, including Heather Peace, BETTY, Lots Holloway, Horse, Keeana Kee, Sinitta, and more!

On top of that, Polly Wiseman, writer and star of Femme Fatale, a black comedy about "fame, failure and firearms", will be in the studio telling us about the new play.

Coming to Wilton’s Music Hall in July, it depicts the 1968 meeting between Nico and Valerie Solanas, when the latter attempted to assassinate Andy Warhol.

Plus, we'll also here from erotic poet and author, Immani Love, the cast of lesbian dark comedy The Penetration Play, and last but cerainly not least, we'll have the latest NYC installment from The L Word's BETTY, featuring an interview with Alan Cumming. (Ooo-er!)

And of course, roving reporter and The L Word royalty Rachel Shelley will be back with a report from the Pride In London Pop Up where she asks LGBT+ celebs, “What are you doing this year for Pride?”

...and our most fabulous lesbro, Jonathan Phang, will be ready to update us on all the latest LGBT+ news from OutNews Global.

What a bumper issue, eh?

Listen live to Radio DIVA at 6.30pm every Tuesday (on Resonance 104.4FM and DAB in London and online at or catch up anytime at 🎶

Only reading DIVA online? You're missing out. For more news, reviews and commentary, check out the latest issue. It's pretty badass, if we do say so ourselves. // //
