This week on Radio DIVA: actress and activist Liz Carr
Plus DJ Ritu, Lily Gonzalez, Rosie Wilby, Jen Brister and Rachel Shelley.
This week's jam-packed edition of Radio DIVA will be hosted by the fabulous Rosie Wilby and Jen Brister. Jen is currently standing in for Heather Peace, who has just given birth to gorgeous twin girls Lola and Jessie - congrats to Heather and all the family!
In this episode, our co-hosts will be joined by the amazing Liz Carr. You might know her as Clarissa Mullery from Silent Witness, but Liz is also a presenter, comedian and activist.
She told us:
“Being on the comedy circuit years ago with Rosie and Jen, we’ve faced some tough audiences together so this is going to be a total joy by comparison - talking about life, love, lezzers - the only thing missing will be the applause!”
Also in the studio this week is the brilliant DJ Ritu of Club Kali fame. DJ Ritu travels the world bringing her music to the masses. She’s also a broadcaster for Resonance FM, BBC Radio and SOAS Radio and on top of all that still finds time to be one of the best event hosts around. We can’t wait to hear more from her on this week's show.
Plus for your aural pleasure, last week’s DIVA Discovers artist Lily Gonzalez will be singing live. Singer and percussionist Lily has played for big name acts like Faithless, Tony Hadly and the Brand New Heavies and performed alongside icons including Duran Duran, Sister Sledge and Belinda Carlisle. We're definitely all in for a treat!
As ever, we’ll have a fascinating roving report from Rachel Shelley of The L Word and Different For Girls fame. Rachel’s been chatting to the creator of Elvie, a femtech device to strengthen your pelvic floor, involving a bluetooth tracker app and a whole lot of squeezing. This should be interesting!
And we're told our beloved lesbro Jonathan Phang will be back with the gang to update us on all the latest LGBT headlines.
Listen live to Radio DIVA at 6.30pm every Tuesday (on Resonance 104.4FM and DAB in London and online at player.resonancefm.com) or catch up anytime at mixcloud.com/resonance.
