Would you watch Lesbian Love Island?
The creator of Love Island wants to make a same-sex version of the hit reality show.
Love Island is the runaway ratings hit of the summer. Reality-telly-fans are obsessed with the show, which packs an idyllic holiday home full of saucy singletons looking for their summer romance.
And now, in a revealing interview with The Times, show creator Richard Cowles has confirmed that he wants to change things up and make a version featuring gay people.
“I would like to see what a gay version of the show would be but trying to mix the two would be difficult.”
Cowles, who is also the Executive Producer on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, explained that while it would take some organisation to run two different versions of the programme, it would certainly be possible.
Although all the couplings on the current series are strictly male-female, last year saw Katie Salmon mix it up by being the first contestant to pick a same-sex date. Her romance with Sophie Gradon quickly fizzled out, but fans are hopeful that they could be in for some more same-sex loving if Cowles’ plan comes to fruition.
What do you think? Would you tune into a Lesbian Love Island?
