There's a new queer film starring Game Of Thrones' Oona Chaplin and Natalia Tena and it looks amazing
Anchor And Hope is coming soon to a cinema near you
We can’t wait for bittersweet comedy-drama, Anchor And Hope, starring Game Of Thrones’ Oona Chaplin and Natalia Tena. The acclaimed film was a big hit on the festival circuit and explores themes of surrogacy, adoption, same-sex relationships and what it means to be a parent in a modern-day world.
In their mid-30s, Eva (Oona Chaplin) and Kat’s (Natalia Tena) humble, yet carefree, lifestyle in their London canal boat gets turned upside down when Eva presents Kat with an ultimatum: she wants a child. Kat resists, knowing that it will end the bohemian lifestyle she’s always envisaged with Eva. When Kat’s best friend, Roger, drops in from Barcelona to party with the ladies, however, the three of them toy around with the idea of creating a baby together.
Our screen editor Emma Smart called Anchor And Hope "a funny and authentic slice of lesbian life". Sounds like essential viewing! Check out the trailer below.
Anchor and Hope will be arriving in UK cinemas on 28 September
