It's been two decades since saucy and sensuous Victorian lesbian romance Tipping The Velvet graced our book shops for the first time - and what a legacy it's left in its wake. But how does author Sarah Waters feel about her debut novel now, 20 years later? 


Writing in the Guardian this weekend, Waters reflected on when, at 28 years old and “very much the self-regarding twentysomething”, she published Tipping The Velvet. Here, we picked out our favourite, velvety snippets...
