Singer-songwriter Danielle Kerwick is flying the UK lesbian flag
in MTV's search for the sound of 2012.
MTV's Brand New has previously brought us stars such as Lady
Gaga, Jessie J and lesbian-lookalike Justin Bieber, and this year
they're backing viral video babe Lana Del Ray.

But Brand New for 2012 is also searching for the hottest
unsigned act who will be given the chance to follow in the
footsteps of the stars.
Enter Mancunian singer-songwriter Danielle Kerwick who caught
the judges' eye and she's made it through the first round: now she
needs your help to reach the final 10.
Danielle is a refreshing break from X Factor clones. Her
acoustic track Stubborn Heart is sweet and soulful with an
edge.
An MTV music expert says: "This girl has got a voice to be
reckoned with for sure but there's something more going on here.
The soul that drips from every phrase is something that cannot be
taught."
She has until January 9 to drum up enough support to make the
