Those of us eagerly awaiting the screening of the second series
of Lip Service may be heartened to hear that DIVA favourite Heather
Peace begins filming Waterloo Road, a BBC One drama, this week. Her
character will be joining the school's teaching staff.
Award-winning Waterloo Road, set in a Greater Manchester
comprehensive school, first aired in 2006 and is known for
plotlines that deal with social issues such as suicide, abortion
and divorce.
"I'm very excited about joining the cast of Waterloo Road,"
Heather says. "It's a fantastic show with really strong storylines
so I can't wait to get started. Plus, I get to work with the
brilliant Jason Done again, who I was in Macbeth with a long time
ago, so that's a massive bonus."
