Lesbian choir launched in South Wales

Got to sing? Gay women tune up in Cardiff

Tue, 10 Jan 2012 12:44:10 GMT | Updated 1 years today

Following on from the huge success of the South Wales' Gay Men's Chorus, a group of friends have launched a new and exciting female voice choir for lesbian and bisexual women.

The group aim to provide a safe space for gay women to socialise outside of the "scene" while developing their singing skills and making some fabulous music, say organizers.

With a broad repertoire including everything from musical theatre to jazz, and pop to rock, the choir will rehearse weekly in an accessible and central location.

The first rehearsal of the South Wales Gay Women's Choirwill take place on 25 January from 7.30-9pm at the United Reformed Church on Windsor Place in Cardiff city centre.

Auditions are not required and the choir is committed to inclusivity and diversity.

If you're interested, just show up!
