If you've been missing your weekly dose of lesbian drama, make a
special date with Sam, Cat, Frankie, Tess, Sadie and the rest of
the gang from Glasgow as the curtain rises on the second series of
Lip Service.
Remember how series one ended, after weeks of Cat's dithering
over whether to settle with reliable copper Sam or give hot
Lothario Frankie a second chance? This is your chance to find out
in advance whether it'll be Frat or or Cam this series... We're on
the edge of our sofas, honestly!
The Sallis Benney Theatre, Brighton, is to host an advance
showing of the first episode of the popular BBC3 series' second
season. Taking place at 6.45pm on 21 February, the screening
promises to be a highlight of the city's annual LGBT history
month.
The event is co-hosted by BBC Pride and the LGBTQ Life Research
Hub at the University of Brighton. The screening will be
followed by a Q&A session with Lip Service writer and executive
producer Harriet Braun, Heather Peace (pictured right) who
plays Sam, Amanda Rice, BBC head of diversity, and the
University of Brighton's Irmi Karl and Olu Jentzen.

The new series, set to air this spring, will see new characters
joining the established cast - and we've heard whispers that
Frankie's sometime-squeeze, kleptomaniac estate agent Sadie will
move to centre stage. What we're sure of is that series two will
deliver the same compelling drama that hooked us in last year - and
we'll be bringing you more news and gossip from the show in the
coming weeks, so keep checking back!
