With just two episodes left of series two of BBC3's cult drama
Lip Service (Fridays, 9pm), many of us are already beginning to
anticipate the big Lexy, Sam, Sadie, Frankie and Tess shaped hole
in our future lives.
But help is at hand, because the first ever Lip Service Official
Finale Event has just been confirmed to take place in the show's
home city Glasgow on Sunday 15 July.
Have you been wondering how the cast coped with some of the
darker scenes, or how Harriet Braun made the decision to kill off
Cat? Well wonder no more because cast members Heather Peace (Sam),
Fiona Button (Tess), Anna Skellern (Lexy) and show creator Harriet
Braun will all be at the event to answer these questions and much
more.
The event will include talks and a Q&A with Harriet and the
cast at the Glasgow Film Theatre from 12 - 3pm. From 6.30pm at
Sloans Glasgow there will be a cast signing, photos and a party
with DJ's recreating Rubies Bar and Tess's Dykes Of Hazard birthday
party.
The party will include entertainment from some of the bands who
appear on the show's soundtrack, comedy, special character-themed
cocktails, food menus and much more. Every ticketholder will also
be given a special Lip Service map of Glasgow highlighting
locations used in the show, as well as discounts at many of the key
places, including Cat & Sam's first date venue. More exciting
announcements will be released soon.
"Lip Service is very much a show that belongs to the fan," says
Heather Peace of the event. "The support online is unbelievable so
this will be such a brilliant opportunity for us to meet the fans
and give them more of an insight into the characters and the making
of the show. We can't wait."
Tickets priced £56 (+ booking fee) will go on sale on Monday 21
May 2012 at 4pm from www.ticketweb.co.uk 08444
