published, Channel 4's Brookside caused a major media
sensation when it aired a 19 second lesbian snog between Beth (Anna
Friel) & Margaret (Nicola Stephenson). This was the first
lesbian kiss on a UK TV soap. It aired just post watershed! How far
have we come since then? Yes we've had EastEnders, Skins and Corrie
