Based in South West London, Napo is a small trade union and
professional association providing a range of services to more than
8,000 members in the Probation and Family Court sectors. It employs
17 staff and is currently recruiting to the following post.
National Official (Press, Parliamentary & Campaigning)
Salary: £38,877 to £46,421 pa inclusive of London Allowance
The post holder will be responsible for campaigning on improving
the criminal justice and family court systems within the public
sector. The role will include sustaining effective relationships
with parliament and the press and maintaining Napo's position as a
highly visible organisation and authoritative voice in its
field.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in
mounting and sustaining effective campaigns. A thorough knowledge
of criminal justice and the family courts is essential as are first
rate communication skills, both written and verbal. Candidates will
be expected to demonstrate a commitment to, and belief in the trade
union movement.
