Here at DIVA we're missing our former graphic designer
Antonello, who used to mark 8 March in the Italian fashion, by
giving us each a sprig of mimosa to wish us happy Women's Day.
Never heard of it? Find out more about the day and ways in which
it's celebrated by clicking

In London, celebrities, activists and supporters of the Women
for Women campaign met on the Millenium Bridge this morning as part
of the Join Me
On The Bridge campaign, promoting peace and equality and
women's role as agents of change around the world.
All over the planet, 8 March is celebrated as an opportunity to
promote women's achievements - economically, politically and
culturally. It's a day of international solidarity with women we
may never meet, but who's struggles and triumphs often mirror our
own, or those of our foremothers.
So we weren't impressed by the invitation DIVA received to
attend a PR event promoting a certain brand of champagne,
suggesting we mark 8 March by "celebrating our femininity" with a
lesson in matching fizz with canapés. I mean, don't mind if I do -
chin-chin, down the hatch - but what's that got to do with women's
achievement and global sisterhood? I'd rather stand on a bridge. Or
party with the gals at
WOW , the London Southbank's Women of the World 2012
festival.
Anyway - it's not too late to join the celebrations. Google
"Women's day 2012 + your area" to see what's happening near you -
you're guaranteed fun in a good cause. And maybe even a couple of
canapés.
Happy Women's Day, sister!
