The Lesbian Lounge with Denise & Donna on MyLesbianRadio.com has a DIVA moment...

Tue, 25 Sep 2012 16:16:26 GMT | Updated today

The Lesbian Lounge with Denise & Donna on MyLesbianRadio.com is a live internet broadcast every Wednesday night at 8pm EST/1am GBR - but don't worry if you're not a night owl, the show gets recorded and sent to iTunes as a free podcast, so you won't miss a thing.  The bawdy, funny talk show, in it's seventh year now, covers lesbians and LGBT topics from the US and the UK, and rarely misses a beat! Often described as fast-paced and foul mouthed, the show is a hit in America and is now growing it's audience globally, focusing on the U.K. lesbian scene for the last year and a half.

Guests include DIVA Magazine's very own editor Jane Czyzselska, chatting to Denise about the October issue of DIVA and more besides. Most recently, the ladies got to speak to iconic rocker, Melissa Etheridge about her new CD release "4th Street Feeling", her twelfth album from Island Records.  Also, lesbian fiction writer, Sara Marx ("The Seer") recently talked to the girls about her career.  Some past guests include Heather Peace and the ladies of "Lip Service".  The Lesbian Lounge also added Stella & Lucy of BangingThreads.com as seasonal fashion experts to shake things up!

With it being an election year in the States, the ladies have added some politics to the show, discussing Mitt Romney's many gaffs, and First Lady Michelle Obama's stunning speech at the Democratic National Convention.  Also, they've regularly started to spotlight some of their Facebook fans in a funny segment they call "Close to You". Their revamped format includes highlighting some of their favorite Tweets from Twitter, spotlighting fundraising events, showcasing new music from all over the globe with sound clips plus info on where to follow the artists & how to buy their music.

The two best friends, who rarely share the same opinion on anything, have also taken to giving some on-air advice for readers who can submit questions to them through www.TheLesbianQuestion.com.  One of the highlights of the two hour show, this segment has been known to spark a soda-spitting laugh now and then. Since the show is live, the  real-time interactive chat room comes to life, too, with listeners gathering to comment and be a part of the chaos.

Keep your iPod handy on your daily commute and take Denise & Donna along for the ride. God knows, it's the only exercise they'll get.
