Yep we've all heard them. The well-meaning but slightly
wrong-headed comments made by some of the straight girls in (and
outside of) our lives. Not the cool ones, obvs! But maybe the
straight girls at work or our sisters, or whatever.
So we thought we had to share this Brit lesbo addition to the
many, many "Shit XXX say" parodies out there. Made by northern
singer-songwriter Laura Catlow who has clearly had her fill of dumb
heterosexist, gender-normative attitudes, this one had us nodding
in mournful recognition in the office.
It's not a diss on straight girls, natch, cause its not like
most of the comments are lesbophobic, at least MOST of them aren't.
They're just a bit dim. Oh and by the way just because you're gay
doesn't mean you fancy us, do you? do you?"
