Organising Pride in Hostile Environments

Panel Discussion @ Amnesty International UK Human Rights Action Centre
 
Learn all about the challenges that Pride organisers face across the world. The founder of Baltic Pride will be there to present the film Homo@LV, which will be followed by a Q&A session with other LGBT activists, including Maurice Tomlinson.

London Gay Men's Chorus @ Southwark Cathedral
 
Europe's biggest gay choir - celebrating its 21st birthday this year -  will be playing a special gig in aid of Kaleidoscope. The set will include classics like Over the Rainbow and A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, as well as songs by Antony and the Johnsons and The Smiths.

Pride Eurofest @ Royal Vauxhall Tavern
 
Europop alert! Eurovision may have been and gone for the year, but that won't stop us dancing to all the big hits. Sweden's Shirley Clamp is jetting in to perform, with DJs Dave Simmons and Don Grant picking the rest of the tunes.

Unfortunately the street party won't be happening this year, but celebrations will move indoors. Their Monster night is on as usual, with DJ Lady Bex banging out the club hits.

The Fattylympics @ Grassroots, Memorial Park, West Ham
 
Queer fat activist Charlotte Cooper is co-organising an afternoon of fun and games for those who can't quite reach the Olympic standard. Compete in events such as 'Rolling with Roland' (from Grange Hill) and 'Spitting on BMI'. They even have their own anthem. As a bonus, Fattylympians can get discounted tickets to the Unskinny Bop Prom!

Live the American high school movie dream and bop the night away. Spiked punch, karaoke and slow dances are all on the cards. And don't worry, there's no popularity contest for Prom King & Queen here - Unskinny Bop's manifesto declares: "We are all winners at PROM."

The official Pride girls' after-party features an international line-up of DJs including Yvette Lindquist (Code, Pacha), Miss Cupcake (DTPM, Heaven) and DJ Petrova (Enjoy Night Project). This will be one massive affair, with Code & Mint teaming up to take over all three floors.

Girls Club Together and Girl Action Party @ Sway
 
Girl Action, Good Girls Gone Bad and GayMe Girls have joined forces to host another Pride after-party. Sipz C DJ Miss Exclusive (Girls Club Together), Josh YouAre (Circus, YMH) and MDMX (Club Lesley, Twat Boutique) are all on the line-up. The new venue is only 10 minutes away from the Code & Mint event and joint tickets are available, so why not go to both?

Ha Ha Hackney: GayExtravagana Homo of Comedy 2012 @ Hackney Empire
 
It promises to be an evening of  "Hilarity, Heaven and High Camp"; the line-up suggests that it will deliver. Sandi Toksvig and Stephen K. Amos will be hosting, and acts including Susan Calman and Sharon D Clarke will take to the stage.

    HORSE is coming to CORNWALL... should be top of things to do this weekend... an event outside London..not often we have stars coming to the west counrty, it should be celebrated and supported!
