UK Black Pride -
London
The UK's sixth national Black Pride
event kicks off at its new home this year in the hallowed academic
ground of London's Birkbeck University. The fun starts at 12 and
continues until 8.30. Highlights include headline PA from Ms
Dynamite as well as hosting by the wonderful Rikki Beadle-Blair and
DJs Miss Bailey, Philly and up and coming Urban music stars Project
Caramel. There's also great food, community stalls, workshops, film
screenings and loads more. Don't miss it. Official afterparty takes
place at the legendary Bootylicious with sounds from DJ Nimmz and
more. Get a wristband from Black Pride for reduced priced
entry.

Want to help other lesbians that don't
have it as easy as we do here in the UK? Why not pop along to the
free art workshop to create a couple of banners and other colourful
items for the parade entry of Lesbian Immigration Support Group
(LISG)? Led by visual artist Sabbi Kaur (www.sabbikaur.co.uk. Freedom from
Torture and the Lesbian Immigration Support Group (LISG) will be
marching at next week's Pride event to raise awareness of the
persecution that lesbian and gay individuals face in other parts of
the world, and they're asking you to join them to give asylum
seekers and refugees a voice in the UK.

Doncaster Pride - Doncaster
This year's Doncaster Pride will be at The Keepmoat Stadium,
featuring hours of great entertainment including a fun fair and an
outdoor market. Promising "something for everyone", the day will
