Advocate names top LGBT people on Twitter

U.S. magazine The Advocate has compiled a list of the most influential LGBT people on micro-blogging Twitter – with some unsurprising results.

U.S. magazine The Advocate has compiled a list of the most influential LGBT people on micro-blogging Twitter - with some unsurprising results.

 

Lady Gaga, Ellen DeGeneres, Adam Lambert, Ricky Martin and Chaz Bono are all among the most influential LGBT people on the popular social-networking site.

 

Singer Ricky Martin tops the gay men's list with over 4 million followers, followed by Perez Hilton with 3.9 million, Stephen Fry with 3.1 million, Neil Patrick Harris  with 1.9 million and Adam Lambert with 1.2 million.

 

Ellen DeGeneres tops the lesbian list with over 7.7 million followers, followed by Rachel Maddow (@maddow) with 1.9 million, Samantha Ronson with 1.6 million and Glee's Jane Lynch (@janemarielynch) with over 351,000.

 

Lady Gaga tops the bisexual list with over 14 million followers, followed by Nicki Minaj , Lindsay Lohan, Pete Wentz and Ke$ha, On Top Magazine say.

 

Chaz Bono (@ChazBono) tops the transgender list with over 66,000 followers.
