Coronation Street leads nominations in National Television Awards

Long-running ITV soap Coronation Street is one of the main contenders at this year's National Television Awards, securing four nominations.

 

Coronation Street leads the shortlist for this year's National Television Awards with four nominations including best serial drama.

 

The drama featured its first-ever major lesbian wedding storyline, last year.

 

Stephen Fry's QI is nominated in best Comedy Panel Show, alongside Mock The Week, Celebrity Juice and Have I Got News For You.

 

Alan Carr's Chatty Man and The Graham Norton Show are up for best Talk Show, alongside Jonathan Ross and Loose Women.

 

The awards take place at London's O2 Arena on 25 January.
