Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent has just secured a new
12-month contract with the ITV soap opera.
The 18-year-old, who plays Sophie Webster and recently appeared on
the cover of DIVA magazine, was rewarded with the lucrative
year-long deal this week.
According to The Mirror, boss Phil Collinson told her: "You're
doing a fantastic job."
An insider on the hit TV3 soap added: "Brooke has been a real hit
with the viewers. But she is particularly popular with the younger
element which is incredibly important to the show.
"Her portrayal as mixed-up Sophie falling in love with her best
friend Sian was one of the favourite developments of the last
year... and she has an important part to play in the coming
year."
