Cynthia Nixon has married her fiancee, Christine Marinoni three
years after getting engaged.
The Sex and The City actress and Marinoni got together in 2004
and then announced their engagement at a rally for same-sex
marriage in 2009.
The couple's nuptials come less than a year after gay marriage
became legal in New York City.
"On May 27, 2012, Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend, Christine
Marinoni, were legally married in the state of New York," her rep
told US publication People in a statement.
"Nixon wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera."
Marinoni gave birth to their son Max Ellington in February last
year and Nixon also has two children with her former partner, Danny
Mozes.
Prior to the big day, Nixon had said she didn't mind a long
engagement because they wanted to wait until same sex marraige was
made legal in their native New York.
