The latest release from the franchise,
entitled Glee: The 3D Concert Movie, failed to make the US box
office Top 10 after taking just $5.7m (£3.5m) over the weekend.
Instead, it debuted at Number 11 in the weekly chart after
opening in more than 2,000 screens.
According to film site Box Office Mojo, only 500,000 tickets
were sold for the movie.
Originally, the film was to star Jane Lynch, but the openly-gay
actresses scenes were resigned to the cutting-room floor, angering
fans.
The BBC report that Rise of the Planet of the Apes remained at
Number 1 for the second week with takings of $27.5m (£16.9m).
