A record breaking 504 walkers basked in the Sunday sunshine
joining Coronation Street star Charlie Condou, Lip Service's
Heather Peace and Deputy Chief Constable of Sussex Police Giles
York on the 10k Walk.
Following a route set by BLAGSS (Brighton Lesbian and Gay Sports
Society), Walkers headed along the sea-front, through Brighton's
gay village and finished at Brighton's Honey for the post walk
party and prize giving.
"Stonewall's work can make an even greater difference to the lives
of all young people around the country, thanks to the success of
this year's Equality Walk," said Laura Doughty, Stonewall's Deputy
Chief Executive.
"Money raised by our supporters at this walk will enable us to
send an essential teacher training pack to every primary school in
Britain, which will help them make their classes inclusive for
children from all families."
