A group of student's at Leeds University have joined forces to
make a video for the It Gets Better campaign.
The latest addition to the long-running viral movement against
homophobia and LGBT suicide, it has garnered almost 3,000 hits
since being uploaded on 29 February.
Several viewers have praised the video on YouTube, with one
writing: "What a lovely, frank, inspiring and uplifting video :)
amazing job sharing this guys and I hope it reaches the people who
need it."
All participants in the video - which can be seen below - are part
of the University of Leeds' LGBT society.
"This subject is very close to our hearts and the message that
this video portrays is crucial," says video co-creator Christopher
Lee.
The It Gets Better project was conceived in September 2010 by
Americans Dan Savage and Terry Miller after a spate of suicides
relating to anti-gay bullying.
The project has been very popular, with huge companies submitting
their own videos such as Apple and Google.
U.S. President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are just two of
the people who have submitted videos.
