The body of a missing woman was found decomposing in a bin near
her South African home, last September. Twenty one year-old
Nontsikelelo Tyatyeka, who was openly gay, was reported missing
from her family home in Nyanga, Cape Town, last year.
Also this month the airline at the centre of a public row with
actress Leisha Hailey said she was removed for her use of profane
language - not for kissing another woman.
As reported on DIVA, the furore erupted via micro-blogging site
Twitter after Hailey accused the company - Southwest Airlines - of
banning her from the flight after publicly kissing her female
partner. It later transpired that the female partner in question is
fellow Uh Huh Her bandmate Camila Grey.
In other news, Jane Lynch (pictured) hosted America's Primetime
Emmy Awards in September, opening the show with a skit that saw her
flirting with a Mad Men cast member. Lynch professed her love for
the small screen in the form of a song entitled 'TV Is A Vast
Wonderland'.
