Cynthia Wagner and Katie Cleek are the first lesbian couple to speak about their experiences after the story broke, last week.

They told Advocate.com that Morgan - who stars in TV show 30 Rock - said all lesbians have "daddy issues" and hate men.

He also insisted that gays and lesbians "stop being pussies" when it comes to homophobic bullying and vowed to kill his son if he ever came out.

Speaking to Advocate, Wagner said: "I wanted so badly to get up and leave but then the fear had me locked in those seats. There was no joke. Everyone was waiting with bated breath for the punch line."

"People were more vocal upstairs but they were not around us," Wagner said of the crowd's reaction. "There was a kind of silence in our area because I think they knew [that we were a couple]."

When the show was over, "we waited until almost everybody left," Cleek said. "We didn't even hold hands as we walked out, and normally we do. We didn't know what to expect at that point. Is someone going to say or do something to us now? And I've never felt like that - ever."

Morgan has since apologised, but campaigners are still calling for him to be culled from prime-time TV.
