An event headlined by bisexual singer Jessie J was brought to a
standstill, last night - after a man was apparently stabbed and
left fighting for his life.
Hundreds of people - including celebrity guests - were locked in
London's Pulse nightclub after the event, for BlackBerry, descended
into chaos.
The mobile phone giant were celebrating their BBM with a live
performance from The Voice star, plus special guest Wretch 32 and
had actually invited staff from DIVA's sister site, PinkPaper.com,
to attend.
But the event soured when a man in his 30s was allegedly stabbed
int he neck with a broken bottle.
According to witnesses, it happened shortly after Jessie J's set,
which finished at 11.40pm. As a result, the club's floor became
covered in blood, sparking upset amongst attendees.
People were reportedly crying and asking to be allowed to leave,
but police were forced to manage the situation until it was
safe.
Celebrities who attended including Dionne Bromfield and
cast-members of The Only Way Is Essex.
According to the Daily Mail, the injured man was taken from Pulse
nightclub in Southwark to hospital and is in a critical
condition.
The Metropolitan Polcie confirmed that a 25-year-old suspect had
been arrested on suspicion of assault and is in custody.
