One of the actresses at the centre of Pretty Little Liars'
lesbian storyline has revealed some surprising new details about
the couples' on-screen future.
Speaking to Hollywood Life, Bianca Lawson - who plays Maya in
the hit U.S. TV show - says it won't necessarily be plain sailing
for the pair.
"There are other things, independent of that situation, that
will come in and create tension," Lawson revealed. That's not going
to be their biggest hurdle."
However, despite the drama, Lawson said that the difficulties
make the couple closer.
"[The problems] strengthen and deepen their relationship. It's
like a lot of relationships: It grows and sprouts and is amazing,
but nothing can stay the same forever. There will be
challenges."
Earlier this month, Shay Mitchell - the 24 year-old who plays
Emily in the hit ABC Family show - says her gay character has
impacted positively on teenagers.
In a new interview with Canada's Fashion Magazine, she said: "I
was out for dinner last night and this girl came up to me in the
washroom and said, 'Hey, I just want to tell you you've done a lot
for the lesbian and gay community, and I think your character is
amazing, and [so is] the way they're handling it."
