Television presenter Rosie O'Donnell has slammed actress Lindsay
Lohan over news she will play Elizabeth Taylor in a forthcoming TV
movie.
In a bizarre rant, O'Donnell said yesterday: "The last thing she
did good (was when) she was 16. I don't think she's right for the
role and I don't think she's capable at this point to portray that
character."
But now, after Lohan personally responded to the outburst and
said she was "shocked", O'Donnell has now refined her comments.
In a written explanation on her website, she insists she simply
wants Lohan to stops self-destructing.
"To me working right now seems like a bad idea it is not about
her talent it is about her health Lindsay Lohan needs help," she
wrote.
"I met her when she was a young girl smart adorable and full of
light we all watched her this last decade a true Hollywood story...
the exact feeling I had watching Whitney Houston's funeral in
Newark we all should have spoken up for her too.
"We believe in u, u r not alone help is available u r loved.
Lindsay Lohan is worth saving she is the only one who can do it
before it is 2 late, I hope she can finds (sic) her value - off
camera. And then - when she returns - on camera she will wow us all
once more peace."
