Stonewall will host the London Gay Mayoral Hustings on 14 April
- allowing lesbian, gay and bisexual voters to quiz candidates from
the four main parties on their policies.
The Hustings will be held at BFI Southbank from 11.00am to 12.30,
and will be attended by Boris Johnson, Jenny Jones, Ken Livingstone
and Brian Paddick.
The mayoral election takes place on 3 May.
Stonewall Chief Executive Ben Summerskill said: 'When Stonewall
hosted 2008's London Gay Mayoral Hustings the election looked like
a close-run affair.
This year's election looks even closer, and the capital's 350,000
gay voters could well hold the balance of votes on 3 May.
"The mayoral candidates know they can't afford to pay lip service
to gay people's concerns about crime and other issues. This is
their chance to speak to gay voters, and for those voters to make
their minds up about who will be the best person to lead
London.
"It should be a lively event, and I'm delighted that all four of
the main candidates will be there."
