A lesbian truck-driver in Sweden has become a web hit after
Tweeting from the country's official online account.
The move is part of an initiative by the Swedish government to
boost online tourism by granting access to their @sweden account to
a different citizen every week.
Previous tweeters have included a female priest and an advertising
executive, but this week belongs to a 32 year-old lesbian named
Hanna.
Over the past few days she has been carving a cult following with
her posts, which have included: "A small recap for the new
followers. Until now I have covered 1) coffee, 2) boobs and 3)
Sigourney Weaver's panties. Welcome!"
Others are: "Did I just say that 'everybody knows that all female
truckers are lesbians' on national radio? I hope people know that
it was a joke, mostly."
The driver's online antics have helped boost Sweden's Twitter
account web traffic by half, although Hanna is modest about her
contribution.
Speaking to ABC News, she said: "I just am doing what I always do,
writing about my life. Sometimes I write about politics and social
welfare, but not with a true agenda. I mostly just express my own
opinions when I see something that bothers me or I find
interesting."
From next week Hanna can be follwed via @truckerlez.
