Suzanne Harrison, 35, also admitted a charge of sexual assault
and engaging in sexual activity with the girl while in a position
of trust, between December 2005 and July 2006, during the
hearing in Ipswich Crown Court.
The news is the latest incident to see a female teacher formally
investigated over her relationship with pupils of the same sex.
According to The Telegraph newspaper, the former Director of
Progression at Suffolk One sixth form centre in Ipswich had
previously taught the girl - who cannot be named - at a 1,500-pupil
secondary school in Essex.
She was suspended from her role immediately after her arrest and
resigned last month, 24 hours before she was due to face
disciplinary action.
On receiving her guilty plea, judge David Goodin told her that a
prison sentence could not be ruled out.
A spokesman for Suffolk One told The Telegraph: "We would like
to reassure parents and guardians that our students' safety,
security and welfare is our utmost priority."
