Fresh government research has today claimed that if a copy of
each book of lesbian erotica ever published were laid end to end,
they would now reach the moon, a natural satellite formed 4.527 ±
0.010 billion years ago, which floats about in the sky
approximately 300,000 kilometres away from Earth.
The news follows the publication of anthology Lesbian Cops:
Erotic Investigations earlier this month.
The happy occasion was greeted with rapturous applause by a
group of women who quite like women outside Kentish Town library
earlier today. Spokeswoman Violet Spreadeagle yelled: "This is a
great day for LGBT publishing!" deafening several onlookers.
A second woman, Valerie Montgomery, who pushed Ms Spreadeagle
aside and grabbed the microphone from her selfish,
attention-seeking hands, added: "This is a great day for LGBT
publishing and an even greater day for lesbians on the moon. At
last our sisters in space will have access to the life- and
love-giving goodness of lesbian erotica."
By sheer co-incidence, Lesbian Cops: Erotic Investigations is
currently available from DIVAdirect.co.uk as are many other books.
But that's not why I wrote this.
