FOOD: Respect Organics' Carrot and Chocolate Cakes

(Reviewed by Eden)

The best way to test a couple of tasty-looking organic cakes is to take them into the kitchen here at DIVA HQ, place them on plates, cut them into moderately-sized slices, bellow the word 'Cake!!!' as loudly as you can and then stand make and make copious notes on what happens next.

What happened next? People ate the cakes.

The carrot cake is dairy free, with 13% organic carrot included in the recipe as well as delicious spices and 'a creamy frothy topping', and was my favourite. The chocolate cake was also very good and several people opted for that one. Everyone stood around with their mouths full of cake, marveling about how good cake is.

The extra nice thing about it is that Respect Organics cakes are made to traditional recipes using the finest organic ingredients, free from pesticides and are sourced from farms that respect the land, protect animal welfare and encourage wildlife including birds, butterflies and bees. So we can all benefit from this cake.

Available through major supermarkets such as Tesco, Sainsbury and Morrisons as well as independents for £2.19
