BEAUTY: The Paris Hilton by Elegant Touch Nail Range

After mysteriously receiving a variety sample of Paris Hilton’s new range of false nails and eyelashes, we decided it would be only fair to Ms. Hilton and whoever requested them to review –it was blatantly Eden, though she now denies it- to give them a bash. The designs and colours do recall the heiress’ tastes -stars, glitter, fluorescent pink- though it’s doubtful whether anyone could pull off the look, unless it’s for a fancy dress party.

The packaging brings to mind the Barbie-branded kiddy make up I was given as a kid, but the socialite’s face, which adorns every box of nails and lashes, reminds us that these aren’t toys; they are for sexy grownups to look really really glamorous, or so the box says. ‘Glamorous’? More like cheap, but they are amusing! They do hold on very well, as the nail glue is particularly potent –in her excitement, Eden pasted one on lop-sided, and it took her 15 minutes of flicking at it to break it off.
