BEAUTY: PitRok range

A range of hair care and general beauty / skin care products crossed our desk this week, and they're not bad at all.

The PitRok Sea Minerals Shampoo with Organic Seaweed Extract and Dead Sea Salt is described as a nourishing natural shampoo for all hair and skin types. It has a seaweed extract which moisturises and nourishes, is rich in minerals to add texture and shine to hair and contains Dead Sea Salt which improves hair condition. It's best used in combination with the PitRok Sea Minerals Conditioner with Organic Seaweed Extract and Dead Sea Salt (both RRP £5.95).

I tried these, and honestly, for a moment I thought it was going to leave my hair really dry. The conditioner doesn't have that slick, almost greasy feel that a lot of conditioners have. That may be because, as the blurb says, they go for natural and don't believe in adding unnecessary ingredients; whatever it is, it felt different to other conditioners I have used. And it's actually great. I have reasonably long hair, and I appreciate a good shampoo and conditioner as I don't really use styling products, and these have left my hair feeling good. They're fragrance free too, which is ideal as it doesn't clash with the myriad of high quality fragrances we like to spray on ourselves here in the DIVA office.

Along with the shampoo and conditioner, I got a bottle of PitRok Naturally Antibacterial Handwash with Organic Lime (RRP £4.95), skin friendly naturally antibacterial handwash with a burst of organic lime, suitable for all skin types. It smells nice. I can't be sure it's killing all the bacteria, but it seems pretty good.

There was also a PitRok Push Up Crystal Deodorant (RRP £5.95) which works not by covering up body odour, but by eliminating the bacteria which cause it. An invisible layer of natural mineral salts prevents bacteria from multiplying providing remarkable all day protection. I am at least 100% that I do not perspire at all, but this is good to have on hand in case a friend needs it.

The whole range is nicely packaged and well-priced. Good stuff.
